Introduction to Digital Art (Procreate)

This short course is designed for children aged 9 - 14 years old, without accompanying parents or adults. It is perfect for beginners who are eager to explore digital art using the Procreate app.

30 March 2025 (Sunday): 10 am – 12 pm

In this course, children will learn the basics of Procreate on the iPad through guided drawings. We will complete drawings on different themes such as food, plants, birds and animals together.

Over four interactive sessions, participants will practice drawing and painting techniques in Procreate. We will use reference images and also draw from imagination.

Additionally, students will learn how to add colour, shading, and texture to their drawings. They will also learn some basic animation techniques, which are incredibly fun!

Procreate App - Please buy the iPad version of the app. It costs CHF 12 and it is a one-off purchase. 

What You Will Learn:

·       Basic drawing and colouring techniques using Procreate

·       Working with layers

·       Choosing colours, learning about colour theory and building your own colour palettes

·       Focusing on lighting, shading and proportion 

·       Practicing advanced tools for shading

·       Basic animation

Materials required:

·       iPad with the Procreate app installed.

·       Apple pencil.

·       All other art materials provided.
