Watercolour Textures Workshop

This is a workshop for children aged 6-12 years old without any accompanying parents/adults.

In this 2 hour workshop, children will learn to work with the magical, spontaneous nature of watercolour paints. They will:

• Learn foundational techniques such as wet-on-wet, gradient washes, dry brush and layering.
• Explore textures and learn how to bring depth, patterns and intrigue into their paintings.
• Create abstract landscapes/ animal themed paintings or be guided towards developing their own individual ideas
• Delve into works of renowned watercolourists, drawing inspiration from their work, style, colours and textures.

Please note: All required materials will be provided, including a variety of watercolour papers to experiment with. No prior experience is needed; the workshop is suitable for both novice and seasoned artists.
